Linda Wan-Koh

BA (Psychology and Communication), M. Soc. Science (Counselling), CTRTC, EMDR II, ART

Linda is a psychotherapist in private practice in Singapore. She is also an adjunct trainer and supervisor at various schools which offer approved counseling training programmes, from Advanced Diploma to Masters levels.

Linda’s passion is in working directly with clients - whether in counselling & psychotherapy or coaching. She journeys closely with clients to understand and slowly work through the blocks hindering their natural growth processes, as well as to maximize clients’ strengths. She also works extensively with counseling interns, individually and in groups, providing supervision and training. She strongly believes in each individual’s innate potential to learn and to grow, and to heal and to gain wisdom and strength from one’s life experiences.

Choice Theory/Reality Therapy Certified and a Faculty Member of the William Glasser Institute (USA), Linda lives and breathes the philosophy and principles of Dr Glasser’s Choice Theory, both in her professional practice as a Reality Therapist, as well as in her personal life. Linda is an approved WGI Instructor and Supervisor and conducts training and supervision in Choice Theory/Reality Therapy. When seeing clients whose traumatic and painful “past is still the present”, Linda uses Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) - a highly effective therapeutic approach for the intervention and resolution of unresolved trauma, anxiety and other issues.

Since 2003, Linda has been providing supervision and consultation within organizational settings as well as for counselling interns from different counselling training programmes.
She is trained in various supervision approaches, and depending on the specific needs of supervisees, she uses either a psychotherapy-based model of supervision in Reality Therapy, and/or EMDR, and/or a process Discrimination Model of supervision.

She is Choice Theory/Reality Therapy Certified, an approved Instructor & Supervisor in Choice Theory/Reality Therapy (William Glasser Institute USA & Singapore) and a qualified EMDR (EMDR Institute, USA) therapist and supervisor. She is also trained in Affect Regulation Therapy

Prior to embarking on her current career as a professional therapist, supervisor and trainer, Linda worked in other people-related fields in human resource, teaching, youth work and also in para-church ministry settings.
